SOLIHULL BATHROOMS to the Rescue! COWBOY shower room fitters STRIKE AGAIN!!

On the surface, this shower room looked O.K! But due to poor workmanship which caused a water leak in the shower area, the tiles had started to fall off the wall and water marks were appearing on the study room ceiling below. At a closer inspection of the water damage, this unearthed even worse workmanship. When I first walked in to the shower room, I could feel the tiles moving beneath my feet, so I knew that the whole room had been fitted out by COWBOY bathroom fitters! This was such a pity for the clients, as the shower room had only been installed 8 years previously. In my humble opinion, your new bathroom should be good to last you for at least 15 years, and certainly NOT 8 !

This photo below shows water damage from leaking pipe work. The wood inside the wall and under the shower tray is rotten and the wall will need stripping back to the timber beams before new plaster board can be installed.

At a glance, the old shower room looks somewhat OK.

We can see here that the floor tiles are loose because the grout has dissapeared in parts and become loose and the tiles are moving when walked upon.

Day 1. Stripping out. MUST WATCH to see how easily these tiles fall off the walls and floor! Truly SHOCKING workmanship!!

Now we start to make the shower room good! The new shower tray is being installed on 'Bond It' Foam adhesive.

The floor has been braced with new ply wood.

Wall tiling commences!

The shower area has a black mottled effect feature tile, whilst the remainder of the room is mostly a plain black glossy tile.

Here we can see that I have tiled the floor in Quartzite reconstituted stone.

A lovely finishing touch..... I install new brushed steel ceiling light pull switches.

Tiling is complete and it's time for 2nd fix plumbing.

Beautiful wall hung basin with vanity storage unit below.

Very nice illuminated electric mirror. Just perfect for mood lighting... A band of feature tiles on the left wall have been purposely installed to break up the glossy reflection.

The original shower enclosure is cleaned up and reinstalled.

The quadrant shower tray is spacious and measures 1200 x 800 mm

The basin waste pipes are concealed in a purpose made boxing which I then tiled over using wall tiles to disguise.

Quartzite stone floor tiles with mirror sparkle.

The basin tap is described as a 'water fall' tap which creates a nice even flow of cascading water...

The original toilet and towel radiator have been refurbished and reinstalled.
